Im just in Sapporo and waiting to go do one of my favourite contest! Toyota Big air (TBA) will be held in Sapporo Makomanai stadium tonight.
I went to hit the jump couple times yesterday.Air time is sick and jump is for sure better than last year.landing is a bit flat but Im sure it´s gonna be a good show!
I like TBA as contest ´cause of the riders care and crazy atmosphere during the event!..japanese crowd is something else than anything in the world! It´s so FUN!

I always thought that riding in japan is all about tree runs and mushrooms but this trip opened my eyes.Tomoki took us to some spots that I wasn´t expecting at all.We even rode down some steep lines with no trees around. One thing I really learned during this trip that if you have tight schedule you need to have a local experienced fellow with you who´s gonna show you around!

Here´s sneek peek of my new board that´s coming out!
model is called ¨Random Task¨ and it´s a camrock board for all you rockers!
Im using it mainly for pow and soft snow! since it flows so well on the surface:-)
hope you like it…graphics are made by Lauri Kerola!
After a well-spent night of crazy Japanese karaoke it’s no wonder everyone’s feeling a little down.
But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad time for shredding! Conversely, hangover is probably the most convenient state of mind for a good night-session.
No hammers here, just couple of friends having a good time - and trying to recover from the night before…

Hi Guy's,
Some of you might be experiencing some issues with my site in viewing images etc. especially in the latest section. We are working on getting this fixed. Sorry for any troubles you might be having, I am a beginner at using this stuff so it is a learning process for myself in being able to get the content to you as much as it is rewarding in being able to provide you with the content. My computer abilities are limited but growing rapidly by the day!
Hope you will stick with me through it!
More Japan stuff coming!
YEW!
Antti
comments - 2At the morning I had made the decision not to enter the 'pics - so it was going to be a great day! And it was... It had been snowing all night and all Jozankei resort was filled with fresh, deep Japanese powder. I found a cool spot to do some methods from a pillow to another, but the other guys were a little unsure how it would work. I kept my head so we hit the thing. At the beginning it was quite difficult cause it just kept on snowing, but in the end it was fun as hell. Hope you like methods too!

Couple of days ago I had a chance to go to the Olympics. One fo the Finnish guys was injured and I was nominated to replace him. When I got the sms from the couch of the Finnish snowboard team I was sitting in a car after a great day of fresh powder in Sapporo Kokusai resort, Japan. After a night I decided not to go to the Olympics.
In the beginning of the season I really wanted to compete there, but after my crash at Copper Mountain I was thinking what I wanted to do with my snowboarding: to do what would be the easiest way and what everyone else is doing or to do something else. If you compete, do well and get your fame that way it's easy to get stuck in there but it's hard to get out. So I think there isn't a much more radical way to do the chance than now. And If you're just thinking about your sponsors then you'd be entering the Olympics from the wrong reasons.
This doesn't mean I'm done with comps. I have always wanted to do more other stuff such as filming, and now as I have my own site I want to focus on it 100 percent to do it the best way possible. So yes: I have recovered from my slam. And no: I didn't leave my place to another rider to show some "athlete spirit". I didn't go to the Olympics because I didn't wanted to. I'm riding now better than ever and having more fun than ever!
Right now I'm drinking my first beer after an awesome day of Japanese powder in Niseko. Things couldn't be better!
