Our backcountry day in New Zealand usually starts around 8am with flight from helicopter base. This mist is surrounding Wanaka almost every morning when skies are clear.

We have been spending most of our time in Minaret mountains where the snow has been awesome.this was the first zone where we ended up getting the some good stuff for the upcoming movie.

Infamous Mt.Albert or Fat Albert as the locals call it. This is the mountain that just looks freaking SICK!

Long spine indeed.I ended up doing this line but underestimated it.

This spine line is maybe the longest and most challenging run I have ever done in New Zealand.

Constant watch for the zones is the key thing for a good filming day with Helicopter. This was one of those spots in Queenstown area. We saw it from the air for a minute took a photo and did it.

Bowls like this one in Queenstown area are perfect when you are looking to get variation in your riding. Top is full of lines and middle has nice rollers to get air time.

At the end of the day you can enjoy the view of lake Wanaka.

Usually the flight back is amazing as well. Thanks to Southern Lakes Heliski and Alpine helicopters for helping us getting it done .
