Ruka resort park staff decided to build new jump in their park.I decided to stay and ride it for few more days before heading home.it was also fun to shoot some park riding for the movie. Haven´t done that all season...

Peetu Piiroinen was in Ruka too. he pretty much did all the moves you can imagine...

Markku Koski took the win today but Saku Tiilikainen got the whole BANG and goes to Bali. He was the best overall rider of the weekend.I got 2nd in overall and Saana Pehkonen was the best LADY! this year Wappulounas was again such a great experience.the level of riding was insane and the fact that Finland is full of such great upcoming riders makes me so happy.it is always great to see some new faces in this legendary event.

THE MOST LEGENDARY finnish snowboard festival Wappulounas is on again! today was first day and it was time for team contest.past february I did awesome trip to Japan with my friends Joel Lahti and Tuukka Tams.with the same feeling we decided to keep up the spirit we had there and do the contest. It was so much fun and in the end with such a surprise we actually won the contest.but the winning wasn´t the point...fact that we could all ride together with friends and enjoy atmosphere is the main thing in this event..everyone should visit Ruka resort when Wappulounas is on

My home resort Ounasvaara closed right after Anttisworld CUP but resort staff were so psyched about the features we built that we got special permit to use lift one more day for filming purposes. 4th annual Anttisworld CUP was held at my home resort Ounasvaara last weekend. our plan was to bring riders no matter their age together and have fun in this two day event. banked slalom was the event on friday. My buddy Ilkka Ojansivu use to ride pro for Scott and still kills it! he got second in banked slalom and 3rd in hip contest on saturday

Banked Slalom men podium: Elias Koivumaa from Rovaniemi won.the prize is epic. he got invitation for Treeride world tour in Tamok,Norway which includes 2 helicopter lifts , Ilkka Ojansivu got 2nd and my good friend Matti Ollila got 3rd.Matti is also second filmer for our Relate to It project.

Women banked slalom podium: Eppu Trög 1st , Ella Suitiala 2nd and Hanna Ehtonen 3rd.it was so cool to see how many girls attented even thought some of the features were quite big.Im truly amazed how much level of girls snowboarding in Finland has gone up!

My home resort Ounasvaara will be the playground for Anttisworld CUP 2012.this is the 4th annual spring contest and it seems that every year it is getting bigger even thought since the day one it has been more lowkey contest with friends. but thru publicity we have been getting in finnish snowboard media our plan is to make it bigger and better every year. The Hip was looking good today and tomorrow we are going to have jump with 3 different take offs ready as well. can´t wait to start riding these features

We filmed this jump for ANTIOUT movie last season. this season the windlip was totally different and jump was quite hard to ride.Joel Lahti still killed it it! bs540 stale... later on this upcoming fall you will see pretty sick one foot move from him in our movie!

Tamok is only 6hour drive from my hometown Rovaniemi,Finland. that is why I invited my friends from home to join me for filming session as well.Here Tero Poikajärvi is doing fs9 indy! I wasn´t surprised that Tero would ride well but he came to Tamok prepared and was ready to hike everywhere we wanted to go. just to give you an idea: hike to this jump zone took 3hours , building 2,5 hours and jumping another 2 hours! long day but totally worth it!

Biggest jump we ended up building in Tamok didn´t work the way I wanted but it is always worth to try new features!

Yesterday we ended up building jump in Postadsfjellet.we were trying to get some sunset shots but jump didn´t really work the way we wanted.Luckily this run down was all time!

Past 3days we have been riding long lines in Tamok,Norway. conditions have been quite safe and we even did first descents.here is Nicholas Wolken in one of the biggest faces we did in Tamok

My good friend Miikka Hast was guiding us around Tamok during the Helisession. here he rides mountain called Lille Russentinden.

Im such a beginner when it comes to big mountain riding but I was lucky enough to go out with guys who know more about this stuff.with their help I was able to push my riding to another level in this sometimes really scary genre of snowboarding..mountains here are quite rugged and really long.so you for sure need to have a lot of patience and commitment before you end up doing lines here. This was one of the best lines I have ever done.

I have spent past 3days in Tamok,Norway. So far it has been a lot of treeriding and snow conditions have been quite good. first day we ended up into this pretty nice forest that we knew from last season.I don´t know the name of it but we call it ¨Pillow heaven¨...

This place is right above Tamok helibase. so basically when you are waiting the weather clear up you can do few warm up laps front of pretty nice landscape.

Relate to it - episode 3 will drop any day now in twsnow.com.we had a lot good footage from Japan but decided that we want more diversity with locations. You have to wait rest of the japan footy until fall when Relate to It - Movie will be released alongside with my full part. Episode 3 was filmed in 7days around british columbia,Canada.Juuso Laivisto and Markku Koski were on a trip with me...even thought we didn´t see clear skies we ended up getting lot of air time!..Keep your eyes open since EP3 is going to be online no later than early next week.

couple days ago me and my filmer decided to go syote central park,Finland.Slammer magazine editor Simo contacted us about this story he wanted to do of junior riders in Finland.we thought it would be really cool idea for ¨Relate to it¨ project as well.we rushed ourselves to Syote where I met these two local groms. 11year old Sami and 12year old Janne. I followed them and rode the spots they wanted to shred for 2days. It was awesome.

Sami might be 11 years old kid but this method is timeless. He claims that it is his favourite grap.Im pretty sure that opinion won´t change anytime soon.

I spent weekend in Pyha,Finland.resort is 2hour drive from my home.they got punch of pretty good snow and fun park to ride.It was nice to have little time off from travelling.next week it is on again since Im heading up to northern Norway for 3weeks to film for RELATE TO IT episodes.3rd episode is dropping end of this month.
