Paddle, Wipeout, Paddle, Wipeout again, Paddle, Stand Up, Surf and Smile.  Yep! Im on a surf trip in Bali.this is my first ever trip that Im really trying to put all my efforts to learn more about surfing. With the help from SURF WG camp Im starting to realize that it is paying off.It has been a long time since I have learned so much in such a short amount of time. I think I need to start doing this more!

My season in northern hemisphere is pretty much done and although we are still going to riksgransen end of may I decided that It was time to go reload some batteries after long season.Last night I flew into Hong Kong for a day. Pablo crew brought the big filming gear to the big mountains where getting to the spots is hard and means commitment. this RED camera is over 9KG and with all the other filming gear with him filmer Kim Koponen did awesome job making it to the peaks to film epic stuff photo: Teemu Lahtinen

We played it as ecological as possible.even thought I was cruising with my Hilux we did not use helicopters for aerial shots. But we did have guys from Skypixel shooting for us with their mini helicopter. I think the shots look better than from the normal heli because you can fly so close to your target with it. photo: Teemu Lahtinen

My season 2013 in Northern Hemisphere is all most done.We will still head over to Riksgränsen early june to film ¨Approach & Attack¨.This trip with Pablo Films made my season one of the most memorable ones since I have started to focus on freeriding. finally hard work that me and filmer Teemu Lahtinen have been putting into our projects is getting more recognizing with special projects like this. Yesterday it was time to go back to Tamok,Norway.It is quite spring time here already but I hope we can still get some good stuff done with epic Lapland sunset. this screen cap is from my previous trip to Tamok.

My filmer Teemu Lahtinen made this video of his DIY video crane. it very useful and easy setup for backcountry filming.

Our trip to Tamok,Norway included the best snow conditions but also the least sun .this weather cycle really forced us to start finding new ways of getting footage done.The most fun spots to ride during grey bird day in Tamok are the small ditches that are usually located right under the bigger mountains.these spots are like natural halfpipes.It felt good to get some pipe riding done in natural spots.

Yesterday we got about 2 hours of clear skies in Tamok .After checking the conditions we had time to film this fun line before the clouds came and ended our session. Snow is still super good over here.

One week in Tamok and one day of flying. not the best start for the filming mission which main goal is to get stuff done in higher alpine..Good news is that snow is good all the way to the bottom of the mountain so we have been able to have fun in the trees…Waiting for the Sun.

I have now been 2 days in Tamok.yesterday we were able to go ride in the alpine but today it was too windy to fly helicopter. so we ended up going one of the many ditches that Tamok Mountains offer. the snow is super good all the way to the bottom. so happy to be here for next 3 weeks

Tomorrow Im heading to Tamok ,Norway for next 3 weeks.I have done so much treeriding already this season so my main goal for this trip is to get radical in alpine terrain. hopefully all the good snow in Japan and Canada have prepared me to get ready for some bigger lines. photo: Miikka Hast

If you like hitting cliffs with tranny finder landings then ¨travel indy ¨can be good choice for a grab.to me this trip to Interior BC has been quite a challenge with black eyes and difficult snow conditions. sometimes I have even felt like a beginner while trying to hit natural terrain but most importantly it has been a good trip to practice my patience and learning what kind of terrain actually fits to my riding better.Monashee Powder Snowcats terrain is mos definitely top notch! photo: Jani Kärppä

Past weekend we went to shoot for Approach & Attack in Valhalla Powdercat operation. their terrain is huge and right away we realized that we have to come back here since there was no way we could ride all the nice zones with only 3 days that we had. luckily weather treated us well and we ended up getting few nice lines for the film. photo: Jani Karppa

It has been good two days in Valhalla,BC .Today however I took a pretty hard fall and had to go to hospital to check if everything was ok with my eye and nose.I was trying natural bs 540 when I missed a rotation and hit my face on my knee in the landing. all good though.doctor told me to take it chill for couple days and avoid hitting any bigger stuff. I should be all good again next week in Monashee Powder Snowcats. Im sure my eye is going to be pretty damn black tomorrow morning!

So…warm weather system hit interior bc last weekend.We hope that there is going be more snow coming this week. keeping fingers crossed for that.Here is screen cap methods from the greybird days in Whitewater ski resort.
